Game Five

Well, tonight the Pens take their 4-4 road record into Detroit for their last chance to stave off elimination. I think they'll win tonight, if just for spite...I'd like to see those humps in the stands in Detroit go home disappointed, knowing they wasted a big part of their unemployment checks on gas, food and tickets just to not see the Stanley Cup.

But no, I'm not bitter.

Hey, you know what? Your team's probably gonna win the Stanley Cup for the fourth time in ten years. I think you can handle it.

I can't imagine a more stressful thing to have happen.

I watched one in '96 vs. the Caps that went nineteen and a half minutes into the fourth (we won), and one in 2000 vs. Philly that went halfway through five (we lost).

No real desire to stay up that late tonight...but I will if I hafta.

I don't know how much longer I can last. A third overtime???? I'm pooped.

Both teams look tired too, but they're playing a hell of a game.

(Insert massive amount of expletives.)

I'm wiped out this morning. I'd call in sick, except that I'm sure all my co-workers are as tired as I am.

See you in Pittsburgh.

GO WINGS!!!
