Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate

Friend of the blog Todd V. contacted me late last summer about creating some artwork to be used at a big tailgate party that his bar, Cypress St. Pint & Plate in Atlanta, would be co-hosting for the University of Georgia/Georgia Tech rivalry game on Thanksgiving weekend. Hilariously nicknamed "Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate", the rivalry dates back to 1893 (!) with UGA holding the series lead 62-39 (with five ties). The bulldogs won the most recent contest as well, by a score of 31-17.

Being a Native and now resident again of Georgia I know this rivalry well. Again, top notch work. It's funny that your rendering falls into the typical stereotypes of UGA and Ga Tech women. UGA mostly blondes. Ga. Tech usually brunette.

I bet if ya make stickers of these two they'd sell like hotcakes at your buddy's place. thanks again for the excellent rendering of a wonderful rivalry.

Well done. UGa alum here back from watching LSU deliver us a beatdown, but this gave me a little lift.

Just what the doctor ordered! What a fun theme for a tailgate.

Very nice work, but too neutral for me (a Tech faculty member and fan). We stunk at the game, but I guess I can't blame you...

I watched the Georgia/LSU game with my best buddy, a big Dawgs fan. They held LSU to 13 yards and no first down the first half! But then the Tigers started playing as if they actually were LSU....
