So, in the grand tradition of artists like Coop, I'm thinking about making some stickers. With any luck, soon that unadorned notebook/laptop/bumper will sport a shiny new girlie drawing by your old pal Chappy. Here's the thing...they're kind of expensive to produce right at first (in fact, I'll probably only be able to make one design at the outset), so I'm coming to my dear readers for a little input as to which one you'd like to see made. I've narrowed it down to about four candidates ,which I'm showing here. The sticker'll be printed in full-color on clear vinyl (meaning everything but the figure will be transparent), about 3"x4", and durable enough to withstand the elements if placed on car windows, etc..

What do you think? Wouldja pay a buck/buck and a half for something like this? Would it help to have some kinda snazzy retro packaging? Would you rather get three or four of 'em all at once for five bucks? What design do you like best? I fear I've already missed the deadline that'll enable me to have them for Baltimore Comicon, but if I place the order by early next week I'll have 'em for Crafty Bastards, SPX and mail order. Also, I'll shoot the first five responders to this post (who give me some solid input, 'natch) a sticker gratis once I get them printed up, so come correct, y'all!

Thanks!

A. Creamsicle

B. Derriere

C. Comic Book Girl

D. Teeny Bikini #3 Cover

I'd pay for the whole set, retro packaging not necessary. But if I had to pick a clear winner, it's Comic Book Girl. There's simply nothing hotter than a girl reading comic books. And that Sluggo tattoo... yowza.

Either A or C are my picks. But B and D are equally awesome... Would/Will definitely pay the buck and a half. but a pack of many for a fiver would be better. And the packaging with stickers is not really necessary in my opinion. The stickers are going to be put to use outside of the package anyway (right?). Love it, keep it coming!

Although I find A to be the sweetest thing I've seen in awhile, if I was going to slap a sticker on something, it would be D. To me a sticker is a way of sharing art or a message you want to express about yourself and D has a rockabilly expressiveness to it.

A group of stickers is not something I would be interested in unless it was a tighter theme. I would get five variations of D, or even of C. I think I would lean more towards just getting one though.

Finally, packaging is always a plus but when since stickers will most likely go into immediate use, I just don't see the need for it.

I've got to throw a vote down for comic book girl as well. It's pretty sweet.

Comic Book Girl for me too, although I'd buy the whole set if it was offered.

Oh yeah - I also vote the packaging to be unnecessary.

Um... Comic Book Girl all the way!

Is it bad for me to vote for that one?

I do like the idea of the stickers having a running theme. Like a set of girls reading different comics. Or space vixens or retro shirts.

Hey Pally,

No packaging.
I would grab "A" myself.
That is one SWEET drawing! NICE colors as well.
I see "C" having the widest market appeal, however, so if you can do only one, that would be a wise choice.
If you can shoot full color, I'd like to see you re-color "D".
Not to sound harsh..."B" is an okay drawing but comes off a tad flat.
I know it's on the new side, but I bet you've got some stronger candidates than this one.
I guess that's it.

"D," but I guess I wouldn't be able to decorate my work computer with it.

I like feeling like a perv only in the comfort of my own home, so really, "Comic Book Girl" is the best choice to affix to anything that I might take out in public. I really like "Creamsicle" too, though. It's definitely got the best silhouette.

Packaging is unnecessary, and either eats into your profits or forces you to jack up the price for little payoff. Don't mess with it!

Wow...I'm really shocked by the response. Although I dig the others as well, I figured B was a winner!

Guess I shouldn't be real surprised about the Comic Book Girl, tho'... it's kinda looking like she'll be a good place to start, maybe make 'em up and see exactly how well they do to build up steam for an entire line.

JCC: I dig the idea of a running theme...maybe later on, when I'm sure folks'll actually pony up the cash, I'll try to do a couple "series" editions.

And yeah, it sounds like packaging is an idea best left in the dust.

Thanks a million for the comments, and keep 'em coming, folks!

Definitely D. -- if you're going to just do one, I think the Teeny Bikini cover is going to be the most distinctively Ullman-esque -- besides, I wouldn't mind havin' it on the side of my water bottle...

terribly unconstructive, but I'd luke to see more choices with clothes on. I love the nudie stuff, but could never get away with showing them to anyone.

That said, I like them all, esp. The cover.

These all turned our quite nicely . Well done.

I'm partially to A and C myself with C being probably the most commercial of the batch. In the end though, I'd buy 'em all and will as they become available.

A and D are my favs. Like Pat says, I think A's got the best silhouette. I'm imagining it on a car window and it would hold up better from a distance. I'm also agreeing with Jay on D. I like it as a drawing and a shape, but don't think it holds as well as the color in A. Of course, we are seeing it white on white ... So it would pop more in real life. Packaging discouraged for a convention, but necessary for something like World Of Mirth. Flat pack displaying multiple in that case. Your price is way-fine. That reminds me, I need to catch up on Teeny Bikini's...
