This is a character who's really spoken to me ever since I first laid eyes on her years ago in an early issue of All-Star Squadron. Can't imagine why that might be!
I've liked the look of this character for a looooong time, and love your take on it, but off the top of my head, I can't think of anyone who has ever given her the Grant Morrison/Alan Moore Animal Man/Swamp Thing treatment, which is a shame given that wonderful costume...
I loved those All-Star Squadron books and now my daughter loves them for what I think is the same reason; they are basically costume catalogs in action. So many characters and all those great WWII era designs. Great stuff. And yeah, The Phantom Lady is special. Who cares what her powers are. It's the costume and that great name that matter. Let's go punch Diane Nelson in the mouth and demand she pay Rob Ullman crazy amounts of money to draw an All-Star Squadron comic.

@ Shannon Smith
You raise an interesting point. I have no clue what power Phantom Lady has, other than her dazzling outfit.
Wow I love the background!
